Quote History

With Quote History you can save all your past quotes and re-print them at any time.  Save time and improve your level of Customer Service as well.  The archived quotes can also be copied back to “Live” quotes saving time re-keying a quote that is just like a past quote but maybe at a slightly different price.

Once the historical Quote is copied to a working quote it can be changed just like all quotes can be.  You can add additional lines, change descriptions, change quantities, or changes prices.  Don’t forget you can save, print, fax, or e-mail the Quote to you customer directly from within Navision.

If the customer orders identical products you can also copy the quote directly to the open order list.  Even at this stage the quantity, price, or descriptions can be adjusted as needed.  This streamlines all of your in-house paper work.

If you have purchased Navision’s Relationship Management you can generate a Quote to a prospective customer. (Contact)  When you do a Quote to a Contact, Quote History will automatically launch the Opportunity Wizard to link your new Quote to the Contact as an opportunity. (You will need to select the “Sales Cycle Code”) This process establishes the same link as Navision’s “Assign Sales Quote” in the opportunity list.

Features:

·         Automatic or Manual copy or move of new quotes to Historical Quotes.

·         Make Order from the Quote will trigger the save to Quote History process.

·         Quote History checks for previously saved quotes.

·         You can save quotes multiple times but you are warned if you are saving more then once.

·         A “Saved to History Date” is stored on Historical Quotes.

·         Copy historical quotes back to Open Quote area.

·         Copy historical quotes directly to Open Sales Orders.

·         Data is available for statistical reporting or screen.  (F9)

·         Quote Expiration Dates come from Quote History Setup field.

·         Quotes to Non-Customers (Contacts with no Relationship)

·         Non-Customer Quotes can be saved in Quote History.

·         Supports Line Posting Dates  (Purchased Separately, required)

·         Supports Line Comments (Purchased Separately, optional)

·         Print a Historical Quote right in Quote History.

·         Purge Quote History based on Ranges.    (periodic activity)

·         Three methods to purge Expired Quotes. (periodic activity)

·         Sales Orders can show the Original Quote No.

·         The “Original Quote No.” will also be saved in Posted Sales Invoices.

·         Quote Setup up has a Periodic Activity built in:
      Delete Quote History (Ranges)
